Eduardo Gallardo D’aiuto

Eduardo started his career in Mexico City with Casa de Bolsa Sobumex, managing both sales and administrative functions. In 1983 he moved to Guadalajara to open a new branch of Casa De Bolsa Probursa, one of Mexico’s brokerage houses, owned by Grupo Probursa. He eventually headed up the Probursa Bank’s operations in Guadalajara.

In 1992, with the acquisition of Multibanco Mercantil by Probursa, he moved to Léon to become the Director of the Central Region. With the merger of Multibanco Mercantil Probursa and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya, Eduardo returned to Guadalajara to manage the public relations and promotional functions of the new entity. Within a year he was promoted to Divisional Director of BBV – Probursa, heading up both the Central and Western Regions of the bank.

In 2000 BBVA merged with Bancomer. Eduardo became Divisional Director for the Western Region, also supervising a new Microfinance program. In 2001 he left the organization after 18 years of increasingly responsible jobs, to start a Microfinance project that was incorporated as Grupo Crediexpress S.A. de C.V. in July 2002.

Eduardo is well known in the state of Jalisco for community leadership. He has been President of the Bankers Association of Jalisco, and on the advisory boards of a number of business societies.
