Glocal builds and manages hospitals across rural India. The Glocal team recognizes that there is real capacity and desire to pay for quality healthcare in rural areas with the average rural Indian spending close to Rs. 1,115 on healthcare annually. Glocal aims to meet a significant portion of this need by building small, low-cost hospitals within rural, low-income communities.
The Glocal team has performed extensive research within the rural healthcare sector in India and has developed a strong understanding of the ailments that make up the vast majority of the disease load within these markets. Glocal hospitals will target these identified conditions within the areas it serves and provide comprehensive primary and secondary care including out-patient, in-patient and emergency services. In addition, Glocal hospitals will be innovative, modular structures, which facilitates rapid scale.
Glocal has launched operations in West Bengal and will expand to other rural communities across India.
