Yamini Dwarakanath

Yamini joined Elevar in 2016. She believes that: “Knowledge of the law and its application has the potential to be a great enabler in forming and supporting relationships, when one can identify businesses with a capability to scale as well as make a sustainable impact on underserved communities.”

Yamini has over 10 years of experience working with the corporate commercial teams of notable national-level law firms like Wadia Ghandy & Co and Nishith Desai Associates. During her years there, she has been involved in representing various private equity and venture capital funds, and this enabled her understanding of venture capital economics. As a part of the private equity and venture capital practice, Yamini has led and overseen investment transactions including leading due diligence teams, drafting and negotiating transaction related entry and exit documents. Target companies that have influenced the nature of her experience span microfinance, pharma, information technology and enabled services, education, research and manufacturing sectors.

Yamini started her career in 2005 after graduating in 2005 from Symbiosis Law College, Pune. She enjoys music, baking, reading and travelling with her husband and two children.
